An AI murder mystery

CULPRIT

Everyone in this house is lying to you.
One of them is lying about murder.

A detective game you play by interrogation. Question suspects in your own words โ€” they remember every answer, lie to your face, and crack under pressure. Gather the evidence. You get one accusation.

This is the game

There is no dialogue tree. You ask whatever you want.

Every suspect is played by an AI actor with a secret to keep. Press the right nerve and their composure slips โ€” the ring around their portrait heats from gold to blood as they come apart.

Six states of coming apart. Your questions decide how far they fall.

How a case plays

Interrogate. Build the case. Accuse.

Interrogate

Sit each suspect down and ask anything, in your own words. They remember what they've told you, protect each other, and lie โ€” until the pressure or the trust is right.

Speak your questions aloud, hear them answer โ€” if you want.

Build the case

Catch contradictions, collect exhibits, search the rooms, and quote one suspect's words to another. A deduction sheet keeps score of what you can actually prove.

Every mystery is verified solvable before you ever see it.

Accuse

When the accusation unlocks, name the killer, the motive, and the proof. One shot. The verdict plays out โ€” triumph in candlelight, or the wrong soul condemned.

Then share your result โ€” spoiler-free, Wordle-style.

Three doors into the dark

Pick your poison

Ten worlds, one kit

A case doesn't just change setting. It changes the light.

Each world is twelve colours, a light and a texture โ€” and every one of those twelve is drawn from the same fixed palette the pixel art is quantized to, so the chrome and the plates can never belong to different games. Pick one and the whole page crosses over with you.

You are in

Gaslight

10 worlds ยท 12 tokens each ยท low light

Every surface you can see right now โ€” the nav, the buttons, the cards, the paper the clippings are printed on โ€” is drawn from those twelve. Nothing on this page is a colour the pixel art could not produce.

Commission your own mystery and it is dressed the same way: the brief picks the world, the world picks the palette, and the palette locks the art.
