What we store

Anonymous play: a random ID in a cookie on your device, your game sessions (questions you ask, answers you receive, evidence you find), and mysteries you commission. No name, no email, and nothing that identifies you across sites.

With an account: your email address, used only to sign you in and (if you opt in later) to send you the daily case. Your anonymous history is attached to your account when you first sign in.

Cookies

Two, both essential: one anonymous player ID and one sign-in session. No advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. Because both are strictly necessary to run the game, there is no cookie banner to click through.

Visitor measurement

We count page views and page-load speed using Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which run on the same servers that serve this site. They are cookieless: no identifier is stored on your device, nothing follows you to another site, and no profile of you is built or sold. We see how many people opened a page and how fast it loaded — not who they are. That is also why there is still no banner to click.

Who else sees your data

The messages you type during an interrogation are sent to AI model providers (via OpenRouter) to generate the suspects' replies, and commissioned case briefs are sent to the same providers to write your mystery. Pixel-art generation uses PixelLab. Game data is stored with Supabase. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else, for any reason.

Your choices

Play anonymously forever — an account is never required. Clearing your browser cookies detaches anonymous history from your device. To delete an account and its history, contact us and we'll remove it.
