Low light · guttering candlelight and moonlight

Cold stone

A face from Cold stone

Cold stone and colder weather. Vaulted ceilings, guttering candles, and light that arrives grudgingly through leaded glass. Everything is older than everyone in it, and the building itself feels like a witness. Where Gaslight is warm and moneyed, this is austere and a little haunted — the mourning-coat end of the genre, all greys and bruised purples and stone that never quite dries.

The twelve

Every colour on this page is one of those twelve — and so is every pixel of the art in a case set here. The palette is the style lock the plates are quantized to, so the chrome and the art can never belong to different games.

No case is set in Cold stone yet

The world exists — the palette, the light, the way its newspapers talk — but nothing has been set here yet. Commission a mystery and describe a setting that fits, and it will be dressed in exactly this.
